ORANGBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's basketball team return to action Sunday (Nov. 28
th) in a non-conference matchup versus The Citadel in a 2 p.m. tip-off at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
LAST TIMEOUT: The Bulldogs (1-6) dropped a tough 78-82 defeat to USC-Upstate iat home. The Citadel defeated Carver College 102-49 and dropped a tough 81-107 defeat  to Duke in their last action.
THE HISTORY WITH SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
Sunday's matchup is the 12th all-time meeting between the two schools, but the first since 2010. The Citadel holds an 8-3 advantage in the series, including a 2-2 record in Orangeburg. The teams last met in Las Vegas on Dec. 22, 2010.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
South Carolina State enters the contest with an overall record of 1-6 and are coming off an 82-72 defeat against USC Upstate. The lone victory came over St. Andrew's (67-53), a team that will visit McAlister Field House on Dec. 16. 
Cameron Jones leads the offense at 11.9 points per game. 
Edward Oliver-Hampton is averaging a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game.
Next up South Carolina State will be on the road at South Florida in a non-conference matchup at 7 p.m. in Tampa. FLA. Game will be televised on ESPN+
