ORANGEBURG, SC—South Carolina State red-shirt juniors
Shaquan Davis and
Jeblonski Green, Jr. were named to the 2022 HBCU College Football Preseason All-America Team, announced today.
Davis (6-5, 190) a native from Summerville, SC enters the season as one of the top receivers in the country after leading SC State to a 31-10 win over Jackson State in the Cricket Wireless Celebration Bowl in Atlanta, GA. Davis set a bowl record catching three (3) touchdowns earning himself the Dr. Dennis Thomas Offensive Player of the Game. This past season he finished second on the team with 43 catches for 864-yards and eight touchdowns.
Green (6-1, 275) a defensive lineman from Lamar, SC was one of the unsung heroes of South Carolina State's championship defense last year. He led the MEAC with 19.5 tackles for loss along with 41 total tackles and 2.5 sacks. Green has the potential to be the next great South Carolina State defender to make a name for himself in the NFL.
