ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State football team will hold its annual Media/Picture Day Saturday (Aug. 19^th) beginning at 9 a.m. at Oliver. C. Dawson Stadium/Willie Jeffries Field.

Media outlets will get a chance to have one-on-one interviews with the 2021 HBCU National Champions and head coach Buddy Pough, along with assistant coaches and some of the top returners and newcomers on this year's roster.

The Bulldogs wrapped up their final preseason practice Wednesday (Aug. 16^th ) along with two full scrimmages during camp in preparation for their season-opener with Jackson State on Saturday, August 26^th in the Cricket Wireless MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Atlanta, GA on the campus of Georgia State. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be televised live on ABC.
 
The 18x MEAC Champion was picked 3^rd in the Preseason poll to capture the league crown, along with 8 Bulldogs earning preseason honors. Graduate defensive end Patrick Godbolt was named  preseason All-American by Boxtorow.
