DOVER, DE---The South Carolina State men's basketball team returns to action this weekend for a showdown with Delaware State Saturday (Feb.22) and Monday (Feb. 24) versus UMES in a two-game Mid-Easten Athletic Conference (MEAC) swing inside Memorial Hall on Bayhealth Court.
Tip-off is 4:00 p.m. immediately following the women's contest in a 2:00 p.m. start and will be televised live on ESPN+.
The Bulldogs (13-12 overall, 6-3 MEAC) is currently in 2
nd place in league standings will seek to avenge and early season 75-76 loss to Delaware State (13-11 overall, 5-4 MEAC) in Orangeburg, SC.
THE MATCHUP: South Carolina State captured their fourth straight win in an 87-57 win over Coppin State in their last contest.
Drayton Jones finished with a team-high 19 points and six (6) rebounds in the win.
Meanwhile, the Hornets is coming off an 84-96 loss to top-ranked Norfolk State in their last outing on the road. Four DSU players scored double figures with Kaseem Watson leading the way with a team-high 19 points.
NEXT UP: South Carolina State remain on the road when they take on UMES on Monday (Feb. 24) in Princess Anne, MD.
