ORANGEBURG, S.C. (Oct. 13, 2026) — The South Carolina State University women's soccer team returns to action Tuesday, Oct. 13, when the Lady Bulldogs host Charleston Southern University in a 3 p.m. contest at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium/Willie Jeffries Field.

Under second-year head coach Andrew Richardson, South Carolina State (0-12-1) looks to capitalize on its home-field advantage and continue building offensive momentum against the Buccaneers.

The Lady Bulldogs enter Tuesday's matchup following a 4-2 road setback against Presbyterian College on Oct. 6. The two-goal performance marked SC State's highest offensive output of the season and provided an encouraging sign as the team prepares for its next challenge.

SC State has shown determination throughout a demanding nonconference schedule, highlighted by a scoreless draw against Jacksonville on Sept. 9 and competitive performances against Southern Utah, Southern Wesleyan and Hampton.

The Lady Bulldogs have registered 71 shots this season, including 29 on goal, while receiving contributions from several players across the lineup.

Offensively, Emmi Sullivan leads SC State with two goals and four points, while Aaliyah Silver has provided an attacking presence with a team-high 17 shots.

Defensively, goalkeeper Jada Gittings has been a consistent presence for the Lady Bulldogs, recording 75 saves in 13 appearances while helping anchor the team's defensive efforts.

Tuesday's matchup provides another opportunity for South Carolina State to build confidence, strengthen team chemistry and continue developing its offensive and defensive execution.
