PRINCESS ANNE, MD--- A pair of Bulldogs scored double figures, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped yet another Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) contest 69-57 versus host Maryland Eastern Shore Saturday (Feb. 28) inside the Hytche Center.
Sophomore guard
Jayden Johnson finished with a team-high 14 points, four steals and five rebounds, while guard Noah Parker added 13 points in the loss.
South Carolina State falls to 7-21 overall, 5-7 MEAC, while UMES improves to 9-20 overall, 5-7 in the league.
Despite the loss, the Bulldogs led in several categories including second chance points (14-4) and bench points (23-17).
SC State returns to action Monday (March 2
nd) on the road in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play versus Delaware State in 7:00 p.m. tipoff at Memorial Hall.
