NORFOLK, Va., May 12, 2026 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is set to host the 2026 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 14–16, at William "Dick" Price Stadium on the campus of Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia.
Howard women's team enters the weekend seeking its fifth consecutive MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship, while the Norfolk State men's squad is also aiming for a fifth straight conference title. Both programs began their championship streaks in 2022.
Competition begins Thursday, May 14, at 1 p.m. with the men's decathlon, followed by the women's heptathlon at 1:15 p.m. The first medals of the championship will be awarded following the completion of each event in the men's and women's discus, men's and women's high jump, and the men's and women's 10,000-meter run.
Friday's session will feature a full slate of preliminary competition, with additional finals and medals awarded in the men's and women's long jump, shot put, hammer throw, and 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Championship Saturday's action will be streamed live on ESPN+, beginning at 1 p.m. The broadcast will open with the women's and men's 4x100-meter relay finals and will conclude with the men's 4x400-meter relay finals at 4:15 p.m.
The men's and women's championship trophies, along with the Outstanding Performer awards, will be presented following the final events on Championship Saturday.
