ORANGEBURG, SC– South Carolina State women's basketball Coach
Audra Smith has announced the 2019-20 women's basketball schedule with only 13 home games and non-conference opponents.
Smith will have a whole new look this year as the Lady Bulldogs welcomes 10 newcomers to this year's roster along with four (4) letter winners, including All-MEAC forward
Taylor Brown.
"Well first of all I am blessed to be starting another year here at South Carolina State, "said Smith. "We have another very competitive schedule along with basically a new team. I am very eager to get things going with my team so we can put in the work needed to compete for a MEAC Championship."
SC State opens the season at home against Presbyterian College on Nov.5
th, followed by a trip to Charleston Southern in Summerville, SC on Nov. 9
th, while returning home to host Radford on Nov. 12
th.
The Lady Bulldogs return back on the road for a contest with UNC-Wilmington on Nov.16
th, before returning back to Orangeburg to host College of Charleston on Nov. 19
th and a trip out west to take on UNLV in Las Vegas, NV on Nov. 23
rd.
A pair of non-conference matchups with North Dakota on Nov. 29
th and Mercer University on Dec. 1
st pits Smith's team back at home before a rigorous eight game road trip, beginning with UNC-Asheville on Dec. 8
th in Asheville, NC and USC-Upstate on Dec.14
th in Spartanburg, SC.
South Carolina State then makes a trip to the peach state to take on Georgia State on Dec. 21
st and University of North Alabama on Dec. 22
nd in Atlanta, GA right before the Christmas break. After the holidays a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC for a showdown with Coastal Carolina on Dec. 29
th closes out the year.
SCSU opens the new year with a three-game MEAC road swing, beginning in Baltimore, MD with Coppin State on Jan. 4
th and Morgan State on Jan. 6
th, before heading to Washington, DC on Jan. 13
th to play Howard. The Lady Bulldogs return back home to host Florida A&M on Jan. 18
th and Maryland Eastern Shore on Jan. 20
th, before traveling to Norfolk, VA for a contest with the Lady Spartans of Norfolk State on Jan. 25

Smith and the Lady Bulldogs resume MEAC play on Jan. 27
th when they play host to Bethune-Cookman, followed by road trips to North Carolina for league competition against NC Central on Feb. 1

A three-game home stand finds South Carolina State back home in front fans hosting Delaware State on Feb. 10
