Get to know Kylie off the field/mound with the below Q &A:
Why did you choose criminal justice as a major?
I want to make a positive impact in the criminal justice system. Criminal justice has always been something I am interested in learning about.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
My favorite athlete in softball is Jenny Topping. She was an Olympic gold medalist and had a very successful softball career. She played the same position as me and was a mentor, someone I look up to and strive to be like.
What is the best advise you have received from a coach?
"Always make sure to work hard but remember to have fun." This advice is something I live by daily. In the end its a game and we are here to enjoy it and work hard.
What is a skill you would like to learn?
A skill I would like to learn would be sewing. I feel like it's cool seeing others make clothes from scratch.
What made you choose to attend school on the east coast over the west coast?
I didn't want to stay on the west coast. I have already experienced most of the west coast and wanted to experience a new environment and live on the east.
