NORFOLK, VA – South Carolina State senior Dexter Ratliff finished third in the men's discus to earn the bronze medal and pick up six points for the Bulldogs, who are in sixth place after three events at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Dick Price Stadium.

The Bulldogs' Kristopher Brown ran the third-best time in the 200 meters prelims (21.31) to earn a trip to Thursday's finals in the event.

In the women's competition, Jada Banks finished fourth in the 10,000 (41.02.45) to earn five points for the Lady Bulldogs who are in seventh place after three events. Sydney Cooper was seventh in the hepthalon with 2132 points after four of seven events.

Host Norfolk State leads the men's competition with 34.50 points, while Morgan State paces the women with 29 points.

The competition resumes Wednesday at 8 a.m. and will conclude on Thursday.
