NORFOLK, Va. – The South Carolina State women's basketball team look to get things back on the winning track when they face top-ranked Norfolk State in a pivotal MEAC contest Saturday (Feb.1) Joseph G. Echols Hall in a 2:00 p.m. start.
THE MATCHUP: The Lady Bulldogs enter the game with a 2-19 overall, 1-4 mark in the MEAC, while the Spartans the top-ranked team holds a 18-4 overall, 5-0 record in the league.
LAST TIME OUT
- South Carolina State dropped an 56-71 decision to host North Carolina Central.
- Norfolk State defeated Howard 69-53.
LADY BULLDOG SCOUT
- South Carolina State enters Saturday's game with a 2-19 record, 1-4 in the MEAC.
- The Bulldogs are led Shaunice Reed at 12.4 ppg and Angie Juste-Jean at 11.0 points per outing.
- Justice Tramble is the leader on the boards at 2.8, while Reed adds 2.5 per contest.
- Head coach Tim Eatman is in his third season with the Lady Bulldogs.

- All-MEAC performers Diamond Johnson leads the way at 18.7 ppg, while front court leader Kierra Wheeler is second at 15.0 ppg.
- Wheeler is one of the more dominated post players in the league at 5.8 rebounds per outing.
