ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State women's soccer and second-year head coach Andrew Richardson will take the field twice this week as the Lady Bulldogs continue preparations for the 2026 season with an exhibition match before hosting their home opener at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium|Willie Jeffries Field.

SC State opens the week Tuesday, Aug. 11, with an exhibition contest against Columbia College at 7 p.m. at Younts Stadium (Columbia, SC).

The Lady Bulldogs return to action Friday, Aug. 14, when they officially open their home schedule against Southern University. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium|Willie Jeffries Field.

Richardson enters his second season at the helm of the SC State women's soccer program and will look to continue building the Lady Bulldogs through player development, competition and establishing a strong foundation for the program.

The Lady Bulldogs finished 2-14 last season under Richardson.

This week provides SC State with an opportunity to evaluate its lineup and make early-season adjustments while competing in front of the home crowd.
