HEAD WOMEN'S TENNIS COACH
POSITION: South Carolina State University is soliciting applicants for its Head Women's Tennis Coach position. The temporary position starts November 16, 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter and it is possibly renewable annually. In close collaboration with the Head Men's Coach, the Head Women's Tennis Coach is responsible for directing, supervising, and evaluating all aspects of the women's tennis program; assisting with public and media relations efforts; recruiting players; monitoring student-athletes' academic progress; organizing and supervising practice and off-season programs; managing the women's tennis budget; developing game schedules in consultation with the Head Men's Tennis coach and athletic director; assisting in fundraising, and completing other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree, excellent interpersonal and motivational skills, personal commitment to integrity of the athletic program and the concept of the student-athlete, knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations, and basic computer skills. Final offer contingent on successful background check and receipt of official transcripts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters or advanced degree, NCAA Division I recruiting experience, 3-5 years collegiate coaching experience.
