Men’s Cross Country Finishes 13th at HBCU Challenge

CARY, N.C. – Freshman Elijah Case posted an 8K time of 30 minutes, 2.7 seconds to lead the South Carolina State men's cross country team to a 13th-place finish on Saturday at the 2014 HBCU Challenge at WakeMed Soccer Park.
 
Case has been the Bulldogs' top finisher at all five meets this season. Dessie Demew of Benedict College won the race in 25:39.8.
 
Bandon Lowery (33:26.3), Kameron Wallace (30:40.9), Keshon Green (35:51.2), Michael Stackhouse (36:55.1) and Khorvon Nelson (37:29.3 also scored for SC State.
 
The Bulldogs' next outing will be on Friday, October 17 at the College of Charleston Invitational.
