ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Former SC State women's basketball standout Ashley Clark recently signed a deal to play professionally for Jordan's Orthodox Amman in the Asian World Cup, to be played in Alexandria, Egypt, between October and November.
The tournament will feature 10 teams: two from Egypt, two from Lebanon, two from Tunisia and one from Morocco, Algeria, United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
Clark, a 2013 graduate of SC State, averaged 10.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game as a senior in 16 games during the 2012-13 season. That season, the Lady Bulldogs went 20-9 and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the 213 MEAC Tournament.
