ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Four of South Carolina State's fall Olympic sports will be competing this weekend in various parts of the country.The women's volleyball, women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country teams will all be in action between Friday and Sunday.
The women's volleyball team is in Montgomery, Alabama to take part in the ISTAP Collegiate Cup I Tournament presented by Doubletree by Hilton hosted by Alabama State University. The Lady Bulldogs open their season against the University of Tennessee at Martin at 11 a.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Central on Friday morning and then play Murray State at 6 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Central Friday evening.
Volleyball competition continues on Saturday as SC State plays Southern University at 11 a.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Central and Alabama State at 7 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. Central. Live stats for the volleyball tournament can be found at

The women's soccer team also plays on Friday when they take on The Citadel at 4 p.m. in the Charleston Southern Tournament. They wrap up tournament play on Sunday against host Charleston Southern at 1 p.m. Live stats for the tournament can be found at

Finally, the men's and women's cross country teams open their season at the University of South Carolina Gamecock Invitational at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
