SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The South Carolina State women's cross country team finished 12
th at the 2014 USC Upstate Eye Opener on Friday.
The Lady Bulldogs were paced by
Jennell Jones who placed 24
th in the 5k race in 20 minutes, 36.21 seconds. Davidson's Sarah Sears was the overall winner after running a time of 18:59.66.
Jenae Jones was SC State's second finisher in 21:30.10, while the other Jones sister, Jazmyne, posted a time 21:47.66.
Jacoy Hutto (24:30.34),
Breonna Green (25:26.05) and Nikki Jefferson (26:30.52) rounded out the rest of the Lady Bulldog finishers.
The Lady Bulldogs are off this weekend, but will resume competition on Sept. 20 at the Winthrop Invitational at 8 a.m.
