Howard quarterback Kalen Johnson was selected as the MEAC Offensive and Rookie Player of the Week, while teammate Travon Hunt earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. NCCU's Desmond Cooper was selected as the Offensive Lineman of the Week respectively.
Hamilton (DB, 6-0, 185, r-Sr., Johnson, S.C.) returned a kickoff 89-yards for a touchdown in the Bulldogs' 34-20 victory over Hampton.
