ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The SC State vs. Gardner-Webb softball doubleheader originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. due to the winter weather that is expected to hit South Carolina on Monday and Tuesday.
SC State is 4-2 on the season after dropping a doubleheader to Alabama A&M on Feb. 8. Junior catcher Ciana Burt leads the team in hitting with a .583 batting average. Sophomore pitcher
Kierra Cromer is 2-0 with a 2.40 earned run average and sophomore pitcher
Jareece Sayles is 2-2 with a 3.75 ERA.
Gardner-Webb is 1-7 after going 0-4 in the Samford University Tournament this past weekend. Kellie Beres is the Runnin' Bulldogs' top hitter with a .320 average and Summer Darnell leads them in the pitching circle with 1-2 record and a 7.00 ERA.
