BALTIMORE, MD—The South Carolina State Bulldogs will turn their focus now to a tough Morgan State Bear team Monday (Feb.9) at Hill Field House. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m., immediately following the women's contest at 5:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs (9-15 overall, 6-4 in the MEAC) are coming off a heartbreaking, 77-74, loss to Coppin State on Saturday. SC State, down as many as 15, rallied back to tie the game before falling short at the end. Freshman guard led the way tying his career-high with 26 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the loss.
South Carolina State also tally nearly seven steals per game while forcing almost 13 turnovers. Freshman guard

Greg Mortimer chips 8.5 ppg and
Karon Wright 7.6. Junior forward
Darryl Palmer is the leader on the board with 7.9 rebounds, 7.2 points and 2.2 blocks per game.
Meanwhile, Morgan State (5-18 overall, 3-6 in the MEAC) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 67-57 victory over Savannah State. The Bears is led by senior forward Cedric Blossom with 14.5 ppg and 6.9 rebounds per game, while guard Blake Bozeman adds 12.6 per outing.
SC State returns to action on Saturday (Feb.14) in a pivotal MEAC doubleheader with Savannah State. Tipoff for the women is4 p.m., with the men following immediately afterwards in a 6 p.m. start.
