Lewis Served On Media Relations Staff For Women’s NCAA Championship Tournament

COLUMBIA, S.C.—South Carolina State director of athletic media relations Kendrick D. Lewis was selected to serve as a volunteer member of the media relations staff for the women's 2015 NCAA First and Second Round Tournament held at the Colonial Life Arena Friday, March 21-22.
 
Lewis was a part of a 25 member media relations team that included statistics runners, quote takers, locker room attendants, and distribution coordinators. 
 
Lewis, who is in his second year as director of athletic media relations and ninth overall with the university, also serves as the primary contact for the 16-time MEAC Champion Football team and the MEAC Champion men's and women's tennis team along with other sports.

A 2011 graduate of the NCAA Leadership Institute for Minority Males & Females and a 2012 Orangeburg Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute graduate, Lewis was named the 2013 Staff Employee of the Year for the Division of the Office of the President at SC State.

Additionally, Lewis is a member of several professional and community organizations including Orangeburg Young Professionals (OYP), the National Collegiate Marketing Association (NCMA), Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA), the Black College Sports Information Directors Association (BCSIDA), the College of Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA), where he serves on the Publications and News and Technology Committee, and a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
