ORANGEBURG, SC – The SC State indoor track and field teams recorded ten top 10 finishes at the Liberty Kickoff Friday and Saturday at Lynchburg, Va. Also, two more team members earned qualifying marks for the Feb. 16-18 MEAC Indoor Championship set for Landover, Md.

Top performers for the SC State men included Anthony Britt, 2^nd in the shot put (16.43m/53-11.25ft); Bryson Brown, 3^rd in the long jump (7.13m/23-04.50ft); Khorvon Nelson, 6^th in the 200 meters (21.9) and 10^th in the 400 meters (49.67); Demek Kemp, 7^th in the 60 meters (6.89); and Roderick Britt, 8^th in the weight throw (13.39m/43-11.25ft).

In the women's competition, it was Deja Rodgers, 8^th in the 60 meters (7.76), Payton Ashe, 9^th in the 400 meters (59.03); Shakaria Bradford, 6^th in the Pentathlon (2992 pts.); and Jacoy Hutto, 9^th in the Pentathlon (2954 pts.). Both Bradford and Hutto qualified for the MEAC Championships.
