ORANGEBURG, SC-The South Carolina State men's tennis team dropped an hard fought, 4-1, decision to Radford Friday (Jan.27) in their home-opener at the Hardeep Judge Tennis Center.

The Highlanders (0-1) scored first claiming the doubles point. Caldwell/Varga (RU) def. Yanchenko/Mouline (SCSU), 6-1, while Thoen/Taylor def. Diaz/Stupar to give Radford the early 1-0 lead.

Senior Soufiane Mouline posted the only singles victory for South Carolina State (0-1) defeating Robin Calais 1-6, 6-4, 6-1.

South Carolina State returns to action this weekend in Statesboro, GA when they take on Georgia Southern on Saturday (Jan. 27) at 11 a.m., followed by Alabama State on Sunday (Jan. 28) 10 a.m.
